REACH (EU Nr. 1907/2006)

Most   of   the   plastics   converters   are   not affected   by   REACH   really.   Except   they are    i.e.    importing    from    non-EU    - countries.    For    recyclers    there    are exceptions   from   REACH   ( ”Recycling Privilege” ).   But   this   is   still   commiting them     to     care     about     ingredients     and potential       hazardous       substances       in       their regranulates. It’s    mainly    heavy    metals     (like    lead    [Pb],    chromium    [Cr], cadmium    [Cd]    and    mercury    [Hg])    and    very    certain    organic substances   enumerated   in   ECHA’s   “candidate   list”    ( www.echa- europe.eu ). Regular   quality   assurance   work   and   regular   chemical   analyses are   recommended.   We   are   at   your   disposal   with   advices   to prevent any troubles with authorities.
