First trials

They   should   be   done   on   a   lab   compounder   preferrably,   maybe already   in   line   with   any   later   industrial   compounding   plant. Outputs   of   2-5   kg/h   compound   are   typical,   just   to   allow   first significant material checks. After    that    upscaling    on    technical    scale    is    recommended, meaning   outputs   of   2-300   kg/h.   Whenever   larger   industrial production    units    are    necessary    later    on,    then    this    should become an extra upscaling step.

Steady quality control

Preferrably   inline   and   offline   (laboratory)   together.   For   inline quality   control   measurement   of   VOCs   ( ->   M2Watch   device ), CO ₂    and   moisture   out   of   degassing   is   recommended.   Offline it’s recommended to look for MFR  and ev. DSC properties.

Upscaling and regular production

After   realized   upscaling   any   regular   production   needs   to   be planned     and     implemented.     Well     chose     toll-compounding partners   or   even   own   compounding   units   and   corresponding Investments should be checked ( -> finance ).
